HiTek Power Unveils GMA Series DC/DC Converters

HiTek Power (Santee, CA) announced a new addition to its modular power line with the GMA Series, which are low-cost, general-purpose, high-voltage, dc/dc converters improved with input polarity protection and output short-circuit protection. The small, 60g modules are vacuum encapsulated in an ABS case and configured for direct PCB mounting.

Standard models are three-pin devices that provide input ranges of 12Vdc or 24Vdc, and output ranges of 100V to 3,000V. The GMA Series is suitable for ink jet printing, electrostatic precipitation, Geiger-Muller tubes and electron beam deflection/focusing. The modules offer 1.5W continuous minimum load resistance with no minimum load requirements and output polarity is available in positive or negative. Optional input to output isolation of up to 100V can also be provided to allow additions like a sense resistor for load current measurements. A capacitor may be added between the input 0V and output 0V to reduce common-mode ripple.

The HiTek GMA Series power supply is priced at $59 in OEM quantities, and comes with a one-year warranty. Availability is stock to eight weeks.
