HiTek Power Presents CC1000 Capacitor Charger

November 12, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

HiTek Power (Santee, CA) announced its new CC1000 Series of high-voltage capacitor chargers, which feature high-frequency switching techniques that combine power-factor correction and a resonant converter in a compact unit. The CC1000 is a line of high-performance, high-reliability power supplies designed for use in non-contact medical environments, capacitor charging circuits, and intense pulsed-light and industrial laser systems.

The series incorporates high-efficiency, zero-current and zero-voltage switching techniques, with pulse-to-pulse repeatability characteristics. The CC1000 Series features an input voltage of 90Vac to 255Vac; a current of 15A(rms) maximum; a frequency of 47Hz to 63Hz; a charging rate of 1,000J/s; rated maximum output voltages from 0V to 500V

(CC1000-501), 0V to 1kV (CC1000-102), 0V to 1.5kV (CC1000-152) and 0V to 2kV (CC-1000-202); stability of ±0.2 percent per hour; a pulse-to-pulse repeatability of ±0.2 percent to 300Hz; line regulation of ±0.2 percent of rated output; efficiency of 75 percent at full power; an operating temperature of 0 to +45 degrees C; and short-circuit, open-circuit, overload and over-current protection.

The CC1000 Series is priced at $895 in production quantities, and comes with a one-year warranty. Availability is stock to six weeks.
