Haydon Switch Intros Size 11 Linear Actuator

Haydon Switch and Instrument Inc. (Waterbury, CT) introduced a size 11, non-captive, linear actuator. Joining the larger sizes 14, 17, 23 and 34, the size 11 incorporates high performance and durable design. Built for long life (several million cycles) and performance, the size 11 linear actuator features engineering thermoplastics in the rotor drive nut and a stainless steel Acme lead screw.

The actuator is available in a variety of resolutions ranging from 0.000125 in (0.003175 mm) to 0.002 in (0.0508 mm) per step, and delivers thrusts of up to 25 lbs (11.5 kg) without compromising long life or cost. Typical applications include medical equipment, X-Y tables, automation of any kind and valve control. The actuator is suitable for drop-in replacements to improve performance. In addition to standard configurations, custom designs of the motor are available.
