Gresham Power Announces D300RP Series DC Converters

New Products Jul 10, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Gresham Power (Salisbury, UK) announced its new D300RP Series of dc-dc converters, which are designed specifically for board-level applications with high component density. The converters feature tight load regulation, continuous short-circuit protection, and 3 W of output power in a miniature single-inline-package (SIP). Applications for the D300RP Series include industrial process systems; board-level, data-acquisition systems; robotic systems; and point-of-load, board-level, power distribution sub-systems.

Fifteen models are available operating from 5 Vdc, 12 Vdc, or 24 Vdc inputs; offering single outputs of 5 Vdc, 9 Vdc, 12 Vdc, 15 Vdc, or 24 Vdc. Standard features include tight line/load regulation, input/output isolation of 1,000 Vdc, continuous short-circuit protection, and efficiency up to 72%. The mean time between failure (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the D300RP Series is greater than 1.5 million hours.

The D300RP family is packaged in a miniature SIP case with an industry-standard pin-out. Each model is specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to +71 °C (ambient) with no de-rating or heatsinking required. Cooling is by free-air convection.
