Extech Announces New MA430 Series Clamp Meters for Tight Locations

Extech Instruments announced that its versatile MA430 Series of professional digital clamp meters are now available. Featuring a compact size that enables measurements in tight locations, the affordable series consists of the MA430 400A ac clamp meter, the MA430T True RMS ac clamp meter, and the MA435T True RMS ac/dc model with Capacitance, Frequency and Temperature measurement functionality.

Features of these new clamp meters include: Multimeter functions on all models (MA430T/MA435T are True RMS); Clear backlit LCD display; Built-in Non-Contact Voltage detector with LED alert; CAT III-600V safety rating; 1.2" (30mm) jaw size for conductors up to 350MCM; Data Hold function; Low battery indication; Auto Power Off ; and Compact, Ergonomic, and Built for Safety.

These affordable new Extech clamp meters are compact and easy to hold while offering an ample 1.2" (30mm) jaw opening to accommodate conductors up to 350MCM. Featuring a large, four-digit readout, the illuminated display is easy to see in poorly lit work areas, and the thumb-dial selector is ergonomically placed for convenient, one-hand operation. Another safety feature built into the new MA430 series meters is the non-contact voltage (NCV) detector. Eliminating the need for a separate tester, the NCV detector quickly identifies the presence of voltage on live wires and alerts the user with a red LED indicator.

MA430/MA430T Measurement Functions include; ac current, ac/dc voltage, resistance, diode test, continuity and non-contact voltage detection. MA435T Measurement Functions include; ac/dc current, ac/dc voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, diode test, duty cycle, continuity, thermocouple temperature and non-contact voltage detection.

The Extech MA430 series clamp meters are CAT III 600V-rated and CE, ETL approved.
