Exide Technologies Introduces New Brand And Product Line

Exide Technologies has introduced a new brand and product lineup for industrial applications. The Element™ brand, marketed by Exide’s GNB Industrial Power Business, consists of a variety of valve-regulated motive power batteries and high frequency chargers for a wide range of applications.

The Element™ line encompasses the following products: a complete family of Element™ batteries for classes I, II and III applications; Element™ deep cycle batteries in six or 12V models designed for small electric vehicles such as personnel carriers, automated guided vehicles, neighborhood electric vehicles, maintenance lifts, industrial scrubbers and sweepers, scissor lifts, wheelchairs and golf carts; Element™ battery blocks with gelled electrolyte for small, light duty motive power applications such as maintenance lifts, people movers and walkie trucks; and Element™ HF (high frequency) series of multi-voltage, multi-capacity and multi-chemistry chargers that feature advanced power electronic technologies that efficiently charge industrial batteries.

Exide designed the entire Element™ line of products – both batteries and chargers – to help reduce customers’ maintenance costs and increase ease of operation while providing greater safety. Unlike flooded batteries, there is no watering requirement. Furthermore, the entire Element™ battery line is eco-friendly: the products are valve-regulated, and recyclable. Element™ batteries are part of the company’s vertically integrated approach to manufacturing, distributing and recycling of lead-acid batteries into raw materials for new batteries.
