EPCOS Extends X2 Series Capacitors

EPCOS has launched the new series of X2 capacitors covering the upper capacitance range from 1.0 to 10µF. They are designed or use in applications such as filters, drives and uninterruptible power supplies that require large capacitance values.

In addition, the new compact C and D versions now extend the X2 range with types rated at 10nF to 1.0µF. Dimensions vary with capacitance from 4x9x13mm (for 10nF) to 12x22x26.5mm (for 1.0µF). EPCOS thus offers some of the smallest X2 capacitors worldwide.

The new film capacitors are designed for a maximum operating voltage of 310Vac and ambient temperature of 125°C. They have been approved according to IEC 60384-14 (ENEC-VDE), UL1414, UL1283, CSA 22.2 No. 1 and No. 8 (c-UL) and CQC-GB/T 14472-98 (CQC).
