EOS Introduces New Color-Coded V Series Packaging
EOS Corp. (Camarillo, CA) introduced a new range of colors to brand and differentiate its V Series ac/dc power supplies. Ranging from blue to green, purple to red, the new packaging is intended to add excitement to the black and white world of power supplies.
"Increasing the brand awareness of our V Series power supplies is a major goal at EOS," said James B. Schultz, EOS executive vice president of marketing and sales. "We are rapidly growing our global market share as the power solution of choice for major electronics manufacturers in the communications, computing and several other high-growth sectors. This new color scheme makes it easy for customers to recognize the EOS brand and further appreciate the value and competitive advantage it offers."
EOS Corp.'s new color coding can be seen on the heat shields of their V Series open-frame power supplies. The V Series products are widely used in Internet products, data networking equipment, medical systems and computer peripherals. For the past two years, the V Series products were only available in black. The new colors are visible on the entire range of V Series products. The smallest V Series products come in a 2" x 4" x 1" package and range in power from 25W to 60W. These units are now available in green. Power supplies ranging from 60W to 100W in a 3" x 5" x 1" package are offered in blue. Purple highlights the new EOS VLT130 product family of 130W power supplies. Medical applications packages will be available in red.
Color versions of the V Series product family will be available to both EOS authorized distributors and direct OEM customers starting in April 2000. Customer requests to continue the use of the current black heat shields will be honored.
