EnerSys Increases Life-Expectancy of REL-B Series Batteries

EnerSys Inc. (Reading, PA) announced that it has increased the life expectancy of its REL-B valve-regulated, lead-acid family of batteries. These batteries are now said to last up to 15 years. They have a standard industry footprint and incorporate advanced alloy and grid technologies. The batteries are available in rated capacities from 15Ah to 65Ah at the 20-hour rate, and from 9Ah to 39Ah at the one-hour rate. The REL-B Series is suitable for use in telecommunications and in UPS applications.

The REL-B Series incorporates bold termination. The 15Ah product can also incorporate a 0.250in tab termination option. Safety features include a flame-retardant housing, a low-pressure safety valve and an explosion-arresting ceramic filter. The batteries can operate in any position and can be connected in parallel.

Pricing for the REL-B Series starts at $250 for the 65Ah battery. Delivery ranges from stock to 12 weeks ARO.
