The AL8862 integrates a low RDS(ON) power switch and a high-side output current sensing circuit.

The AL8862 is a step-down DCDC converter designed to drive LEDs with a constant current, and which operates with an input supply voltage of 5V to 60V. The device provides an externally adjustable output current of up to 1A.

The AL8862 integrates a low RDS(ON) power switch and a high-side output current sensing circuit. The maximum output current of the AL8862 is set via an external resistor connected between the VIN and SET input pins. It supports both Analog and PWM LED brightness dimming by applying either a DC voltage or a PWM signal at the CTRL pin.

Applications

  • Industrial lighting
  • Architectural lighting
  • External drivers with multiple channels
