Delta Intros E48SB Eighth-Brick Bus Converter

New Products Aug 17, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Delta Electronics Inc. (Chungli, Taiwan), a leader in power systems technology and manufacturing, introduced the E48SB, an eighth-brick-sized, 200 W bus converter into its Delphi Series of board-mounted dc-dc power converters. The E48SB bus converter was developed to support the intermediate bus architecture to power multiple downstream, non-isolated, point-of-load converters.

The E48SB isolated bus converter with a nominal 48 V input and single output provides up to 200 W of power or 25 A of output current in an industry-standard, eighth-brick footprint. The E48SB currently supports three output versions. The E48SB120 Series features an input voltage of 38 V to 60 V, and provides an unregulated output of 12 V at 17 A with an efficiency 96.6% at full load. The E48SB9R6 Series features an input-voltage range of 38 V to 55 V, and provides an unregulated output of 9.6 V at up to 22 A with an efficiency 96.7% at full load. Thhe E48SB8R0 Series features an input-voltage range of 38 V to 55 V, and provides an unregulated output of 8 V at up to 25 A.

Sample quantities of the Delphi Series E48SB converters are available now. In OEM quantities of 1,000 pieces, the 12 V/17 A unit price is $41. Standard lead-time is from stock to eight weeks, depending on the output and volume.
