Delta Electronics Intros L36SA DC Power Converters

December 19, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Delta Electronics Inc. (Chungli, Taiwan), a leader in power systems technology and manufacturing, introduced the latest addition to its Delphi Series of board-mounted, dc-dc power converters, the L36SA converter, for space-constrained and cost-sensitive applications.

With optimized component placement, creative design topology and patented technologies from Delta's worldwide engineering teams, the single-output L36SA measures 2 in x 1.6 in and offers a 4:1 wide-input range, up to 20 A (1.8 V and below) of output current, or 50 W in an industry-standard footprint and pinout. The L36SA converter operates from an input-voltage of 18 V to 75 V, and is available in output voltages from 1.2 V to 15 V. Typical efficiency for this module at 3.3 V/15 A output is better than 87%.

Sample quantities of selected outputs of the Delphi L36SA converters are available. In OEM quantities of 1,000 pieces, the unit price is $37. Standard lead-time is from stock to eight weeks, depending on the output and volume.
