Danfoss NAMC Unveils BG Series Helical-Geared Motors

Danfoss North America Motion Controls (Danfoss NAMC, Loves Park, IL) unveiled its new three-phase BG Series helical-geared motors, which are engineered to drive machines and equipment of all types. The motors are available with power from 0.075 HP to 50 HP, with output speeds of 0.3 rpm to 540 rpm, and a torque range of 177 lbf-in to 163,700 lbf-in.

The BG Series comes as a standard two-stage design and offers simple installation with a wide range of mounting options. The motors include stator winding of high-quality, insulated, enameled copper wire; an aluminum, die cast cage rotor; and gear wheels made of high-tensile and case-hard steel. The gearbox housing is completely enclosed for operation in harsh conditions, protecting the motors from dust and water spray, as well as preventing lubricant loss and dirt build-up.
