CTS Introduces New Current Sensing Resistors For Current Detection
CTS Corp. announced the introduction of its new line of Current Sensing Resistors. CTS now offers a line of metal plate and thick film resistors that were developed to monitor current in a circuit and then translate that current into a voltage that can be easily measured and monitored. This is useful for control circuitry in power supplies, miniature dc-dc converters, uninterruptible power systems, battery charging circuits, automotive and motor control applications.
These products are designed with very low resistance values (.050Ω to .910Ω) to minimize power consumption while sensing current. The metal plate design supports 1 to 2W of power while the thick film handles up to 1W. Each style offers a resistance tolerance range from 1 to 5%.
