Cooper Presents PowerStor P Series Supercapacitors

Cooper Electronic Technologies (Boynton Beach, FL) announced its PowerStor® P Series aerogel supercapacitors with values ranging from 0.1F to 1.0F. The series combines the features of high-energy rechargeable batteries and high-power electrolytic capacitors.

The P Series features two types: the low-ESR, high-power PA Series with ESR values ranging from 0.15 ohms to 0.2 ohms, and the higher energy density PB Series with ESR values ranging from 0.5 ohms to 6 ohms. Both the PA and PB Series are available with vertical or horizontal leads. The new supercapacitors feature ESR values in the tens to hundreds of ohms, high capacitance, a minimal voltage drop during the current pulse, and a maximum memory backup duration during the lower-current sleep-mode phase.
