Condor DC Power Intros GSM11 Series Power Supply

October 27, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Condor DC Power Supplies Inc. (Oxnard, CA), a medical power supply manufacturer, introduced its new GSM11 Series next-generation power supply, which has performance and material advantages over the company’s current GSM7 Series. With a 2.00 in x 2.28 in footprint, the new power supply is a drop-in replacement for the GSM7 at no additional cost. Its output capabilities provide an increase in power of over 50 percent (an 11 W output, 15 W peak versus a 7 W output, 9 W peak for the GSM7). Additionally, all the components of the GSM11 are lead-free to comply fully with the RoHS directive.

Other GSM11 improvements over the GSM7 include adjustable voltage of ±5 percent, no cutout in board, 77 percent typical efficiency (versus 72 percent for the GSM7), and 25 mS holdup time at 11 W (versus 16 mS holdup time at 7 W for the GSM7). A variety of connector choices reduces compatibility and integration issues.

Samples of the new GSM11 Series are available six weeks ARO, at a competitive price in OEM quantities.
