Circular LED Drivers Targeted for High- and Low-Bay Lighting Fixtures
Mean Well Enterprises Co. Ltd. has introduced the HBG-100 (96W) and HBG-240 (240W) series of LED drivers to fulfill the various high- and low-bay illumination demands. Featuring circular designs, these two new LED power drivers are easily assembled and perfectly fit in with the mechanical structure of high- and low-bay lighting fixtures. Fully potted, their aluminum enclosure can be tightly assembled to the heat sink of lighting fixtures and provide excellent heat dissipation ability, solving the mechanism limits of old style bay lighting systems using slim shape LED power supplies. In order to withstand the indoor or outdoor harsh environment, the newly designed aluminum-molding case with full glue-potting (IP65/67 structure) can provide excellent heat dissipation ability and mechanical strength.
The HBG-100/240 series delivers up to 91.5% (HBG-100) and 93.5% (HBG-240) enabling them to be cooled with free-air convection from -40°C to +60°C ambient temperature. As long as the temperature on the top of the enclosure can be controlled under 70°C, the power supply service life could be guaranteed up to 40,000 hours. They can be assembled with LED modules, heat sink modules, and lampshades to easily form a bay light and also have different installation alternatives, such as chain type, hanger type, or metal frame type, which fulfill the various requirements of lighting fixtures.
Besides standard functions of protections for short circuit, over voltage, overload, and over temperature, these power units have a 5-year warranty and provide “three-in-one dimming“ function . These HBG-100/240 series complies with global safety standards per UL/ CUL/ ENEC/ CB/ CE. Suitable applications include LED high/low bay lighting, mining lighting, stage lighting, LED spot lighting, and outdoor architectural lighting. These LED drivers operate with input voltages from 90- to 305-Vac and include active power factor correction. They comply with harmonic current limitations per EN61000-3-2 Class C (>60% load) and meet 4kV surge immunity level (IEC61000-4-5). Dimension (DxH) are: ø130*66.5mm (HBG-100) and ø191.5*69mm (HBG-240).
