Celestica Presents Power Pod DC/DC Converters

Celestica Inc. (Toronto, ON) announced the launch of its Power Pod dc/dc converters, designed for Intel® Itanium® 2 processors. The new Power Pod converters offer global access to a high-performance and cost-effective solution for Intel® Itanium® 2 processor power needs.

Targeted at computing OEMs, the 12Vin Power Pod is an open-frame design that allows for better thermal management in system environments. Available in a 4.915in x 0.870in x 2.785in form factor, it is 1in shorter than the industry standard, creating valuable board real estate for high-density systems. The 12Vin Power Pod can also fit into a 1U (1.75in) system allowing for system density and space savings.

The 12V and 48V Power Pod dc/dc converters are now available. Pricing starts at $180 and $275 for the 12V pod and 48V pod, respectively, in lot quantities of 1 to 25 units.
