Celestica Announces New PowerChip Family

Celestica Inc. (Toronto, ON) announced the launch of its PowerChip family of SMT isolated dc/dc power converters specifically designed for the telecommunications sector. The PowerChip family consists of the single-output PHS05 and PHS08, and the dual-output PCD20.

Available in a 1.88in x 1.17in x 0.3in form factor, the PHS05 brings 48V input to 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V and 5V output at 5A. The PHS08 brings 48V input to 1.8V at 8.5A, 2.5V at 8A, and 3.3V at 7A. The PHS05 and PHS08 claim efficiencies of up to 88 percent. The PCD20 power converter offers 20W output power and is available in a 1.88in x 1.17in x 0.4in form factor with 48V input to ±12V output at 0.8A, or ±15V output at 0.8A isolated.

Samples are available for each PowerChip family product. Pricing for the PHS05 starts at $22 per unit on an annual purchase of 1,000 units. Pricing for the PHS08 starts at $25 per unit on an annual purchase of 1,000 units. Pricing for the PCD20 starts at $22 per unit on an annual purchase of 1,000 units.
