Bridge Rectifier Diode Series for More Efficient Designs

New Products Dec 07, 2016 by Jeff Shepard

Bourns, Inc. today announced five new bridge rectifier product series designed for power and switch-mode power supply applications. The newly-released products come in ultra-low profile packages of 1.0 mm to 1.4 mm making them well-suited for use in high-density board designs, and also for mounting onto the bottom side of printed circuit board assemblies where necessary.

The Bourns® Model CD-MBL and Model CD-DF4 bridge rectifiers handle forward current up to 4A and forward voltages of about 0.95V making them suited for high-efficiency design requirements in portable communications, computing and video equipment. Similarly, Bourns® Model CD-HD Schottky bridge rectifiers provide low forward voltage in a space-saving package enabling developers of set-top boxes, monitors, cable modems and other ac-operated products to achieve power-efficient designs.
