B&K Precision Intros Model 4012A Generator

February 06, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

B&K Precision Corp. (Yorba Linda, CA) introduced its Model 4012A, a new sweep/function generator that combines several functions into one low-cost unit. The Model 4012A is suitable for a variety of analog and digital applications, including engineering, manufacturing, servicing, education and hobbyists.

Utilizing a standard 115 Vac power source, the Model 4012A is capable of producing precision sine, square or triangle waves over the O.5 Hz to 5 MHz range. The Model 4012A combines several functions such as waveform generation, pulse generation (through variable symmetry) and frequency sweep, into one device. The instrument also provides the added convenience of a built-in frequency counter. Operating as a sweep generator, the Model 4012A offers linear or log sweep with variable sweep rate and adjustable sweep time. Variable symmetry of the output waveform converts the instrument to a pulse generator capable of generating rectangular waves or pulses, ramp or saw tooth waves, and slewed sine waves.

Available for immediate delivery, the Model 4012A is priced at $355 and comes with warranty, line cord and user manual.
