Beta Dyne Unveils ARG3000 DC/DC Converter

January 05, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Beta Dyne Inc. (Bridgewater, MA) announced its new ARG3000 Series of isolated, adjustable, 33W, dc/dc converters, which are suitable for a number of applications, including adjustable power supplies (uni-polar or bi-polar), signal generators, ring generators, and longitudinal noise generators.

The ARG3000's input voltage can accept 12Vdc, 24Vdc and 48Vdc and its output can be adjusted from 5Vdc to 220Vdc. The ARG3000's patented design allows it to source or sync current at its output. The converter can be driven from an external low-frequency signal generator up to 1kHz to provide a 200Vpp output voltage. It is also input-power limited and will allow 33W. An on-board adjustable sine wave generator can be used to provide a ringing signal for up to 15 RENs. Features include an on-board 5Vdc reference, remote on/off control, 300µA off current, a wide input-voltage range of 2:1, isolated output, over-/under-input-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, and over-temperature protection.

Units are available four to six weeks ARO. Pricing is $109 per unit, with discounts available for larger quantities.
