Beta Dyne Offers 10S120/24 and 10S120/48 DC Converters

New Products Oct 10, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Beta Dyne Inc. (Bridgewater, MA) offered its new 10S120/24 and 10S120/48 dc-dc converter models that feature 120 Vdc at 80 mA to 100 mA output, which can supply power to single-ended or dual-supply power amplifiers for micro-mirrors, or be down-converted from 120 Vin for digital subscriber line repeaters. The new models are derived from a family of 10 W dc-dc converters designed for telecommunications applications.

The new modules accept wide input-voltage ranges (2:1) with nominal inputs of 24 Vdc, 48 Vdc, and 120 Vdc. Outputs can be single or dual, and can be set as two independent adjustable outputs ranging from 3.3 Vdc to 120 Vdc single, and ±5 Vdc to ±120 Vdc dual. Additional features include total input to output isolation, 1,000 Vdc short-circuit and thermal protection, soft start, adjustable outputs, 50 µA off-state current, hot-pluggability, efficiency up to 84 percent, and a low cost.
