Beta Dyne Announces SR5 Switching Regulators

Beta Dyne Inc. (Bridgewater, MA) announced the release of its SR5 Series of switching regulators, which are constant-frequency, current-mode, step-up converters that feature line and load regulation for battery-operated systems, cellular telephones, wireless modems, RF communications, battery-powered equipment, telecom/network systems, lithium-ion-powered applications, portable computers and scanners.

The SR5 features a power consumption in standby mode of 300µA; an input voltage from 5Vin to 2.2Vin; outputs of 5V, 9V, 12V and 15V; ±10 percent output adjustments; burst-mode operation at light loads; a high switching frequency of up to 94 percent; SMD technology; input current limit; under-voltage protection; 550kHz constant frequency; and 30W/in³ of power density.

Available in a 1in x 0.6in x 0.28in, seven-pin SIP, pricing is $15.90 each in OEM quantities.
