Bel Fuse has announced its PTM1-S Series, a new family of 1 W isolated DC-DC converters designed to meet the growing demand for medically certified, high-isolation power electronics in a constrained physical footprint.

The primary advancement of this product series is its ability to deliver rigorous dual-certification standards for both Information Technology Equipment (ITE) and medical applications within a single, highly compact device.
Dual Certification and Isolation Integrity
The PTM1-S Series is crafted for isolation integrity by providing 6000 VDC isolation and reinforced insulation rated for 300 VAC. This robust isolation establishes critical hardware-level protection against electrical surges and cross-circuit faults in applications where reliable separation is non-negotiable.
To streamline design cycles for cross-over applications, the components hold dual safety certifications: UL/IEC 62368 for standard ITE hardware and EN 60601 with 2xMOOP (Means of Operator Protection) for medical platforms. By meeting the stringent parameters required for both medical instrumentation and standard industrial equipment, engineers have the flexibility to qualify a single part number across multiple deployment environments.
