Bel Fuse Intros V7PC-10B Series DC/DC Converters

Bel Fuse (Jersey City, NJ) introduced the new V7PC-10B Series of non-isolated, step-down dc/dc converters that feature an industry-standard single-in-line package and provide up to 10A of output current from a 5V source. Modules may be ordered in a range of output voltages from 3.3V down to 1V. The 2.5V unit (V7PC-10B25S) delivers efficiency of 92 percent at full load, and the 3.3V unit (V7PC-10B33S) delivers 94 percent.

The new converters feature over-voltage and short-circuit protection, remote on/off, and with fixed-frequency operation. Devices operate to 70 degrees C with no derating over a 4.5V to 5.5V input range. An optional remote-sense pin is offered for applications demanding precision regulation of low output voltages. Utilizing less than 1sq-in of PCB real estate, this pre-tested and pre-qualified series is specifically engineered for designers working with minimal board space and charged with shortening time-to-market. Applications include computers and peripherals; telecommunications; and networking, test and industrial automation equipment.

Pricing for the V7PC-10B Series of non-isolated, dc/dc step-down converters is $9.75 each in quantities of 10,000. Delivery is from four to six weeks, and samples are immediately available.
