BCComponents International BV (Eindhoven, Netherlands) announced that it is shipping its new series of multi-layer ceramic chip inductors in 0402 casings, which feature a typical self-resonant frequency between 750MHz to 4GHz. The inductors are suitable for filtering and impedance matching in mobile devices, telecommunications systems and other high-frequency applications.
The new inductors offer typical Q values ranging from 10 to 23 at 100MHz and from 21 to 63 at 800MHz. The inductors are available with inductance values from 1nH to 100nH and are also offered in 0603 and 0805 sizes. The dc resistance for the ceramic and ferrite inductors begin at 0.1 ohm and 0.15 ohm, respectively, and have a maximum current rating of 0.3A.
The company is also offering ferrite inductors in package sizes of 0603, 0805 and 1206 with inductance values between 47nH to 12µH. Depending on the device chosen, the minimum self-resonant frequency figures are between 320MHz and 15MHz with Q values ranging from 10 to 50.
The new ceramic chip inductors are priced at $0.08 each for quantities of 25,000 or more.
