Baldor (UK) has launched the Model 17 Commercial-Duty Motor Line, a new range of motors that are engineered for applications requiring low to medium starting torques. The new range is suitable for such applications as fans, blowers, stirrers/agitators, conveyors, compressors and pumps.

The Model 17 range extends from 120W to 750W, through standard 48 to 56

frame sizes, with 2, 4, or 6 pole, and single- or three-phase ac voltage versions. Users also have open-drip proof, totally-enclosed air over or totally-enclosed non-ventilated construction options available to optimize performance for different target operating environments.

Features include Class B insulation, sealed ball bearings, finned end rings for improved cooling, a corrosion-protected steel band, and optional automatic and manual thermal overloads. The motors additionally include quick connect terminals for electrical connections and may be specified with a range of mounting options, including foot, resilient, C-face, O-flange, torsion-flex brackets, belt and pedestal.
