AVX Corp. (Myrtle Beach, SC) announced its (SupraCap) MIL-PRF-49470 SMPS Series encapsulated stacked capacitors for high-performance applications in both T-level (up to 120µF) and B-levels (up to 270µF) of reliability. Designed for high-current, high-power and high-temperature applications, the capacitors have low ESR and ESL.
The MIL-PRF-49470 SMPS Series capacitors are primarily used in input/output filters of high-power and high-voltage power supplies as well as in bus filters and dc snubbers for high-power inverters and other high-current applications. The capacitors are available with through-hole and surface-mount leads. The operating temperature range is from -55 to +125 degrees C.
