AVX Debuts LICC Series of Capacitors

February 14, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

AVX Corp. (Myrtle Beach, CA) announced its new expanding LICC Series. Designed for use in high-speed circuits, the devices provide design engineers with low-inductance capacitors for microprocessor decoupling applications in computers and servers.

The LICC Series capacitors are available in X7R and X5R dielectrics, with capacitance values ranging from 0.010µF to 3.3µF and voltage ratings of 6.3V, 10V, 16V and 25V. Standard capacitance tolerances are ±10 percent and ±20 percent, with operating temperatures ranging from -55 to +125 degrees C. A high-reliability version is also available. The LICC Series capacitors are available in 0306, 0508 and 0612 case sizes. An 0204 case size is currently in development.

The LICC Series chips are available with lead times from stock to six weeks, with prices ranging from $0.03 to $0.10 each in OEM quantities, depending upon capacitor value.
