Astec Power Intros ALQ15 DC/DC Converters
Astec Power (Carlsbad, CA) unveiled its newest family of industry-standard, dual-output, quarter-brick, ALQ15 dc/dc converters. The first three models cover the most popular dual-output power combinations in low-voltage, distributed power architecture applications. The ALQ15 family utilizes planar magnetics and the latest state-of-the-art construction techniques.
Rated to deliver up to 15A from either output, the ALQ15 models provide a full 60W of clean, well-regulated, low-noise dc power. For a typical step change in loads of 50 to 75 percent, a deviation of no more than four percent will be seen on either output, which will recover, to specified regulation, in less than 500µs. The ALQ15 devices also have basic insulation and the ability to start up into high-capacitance loads of up to 10,000µF per output. With a wide operating temperature range of –40 to +85 degrees C, the units are deployable in almost any environment.
The ALQ15 models come equipped with a wide input-voltage range of 36V to 75V; 100V for 100 milliseconds of input surge withstanding capability; optional positive or negative logic for the enable input-control pin; under-voltage lockout with hysteresis to prevent false starting and stopping at low input voltages; and over-temperature, over-current and over-voltage protection. Two different pin lengths of 0.376in and 0.50in
are available.
Prices start from $80 each in OEM quantities. Samples are available now.
