APC Intros New Rack-Mount Smart-UPS Models

American Power Conversion Corp. (APC, West Kingston, RI) announced that it has enhanced its Smart-UPS line of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) with the introduction of new 750VA, 1,000VA and 1,500VA 2U rack-mount models. The advanced set includes a comprehensive display; extended-range, automatic-voltage regulation; pure sine wave output; intelligent battery management; and convenient user-replaceable, hot-swappable battery modules.

The Smart-UPS rack-mount 2U models may be mounted in a variety of network equipment, telecom and IT racks, including most two-post and four-post designs. The Smart-UPS rack-mount line is a primary protection choice for business servers, blade servers, network switches, WiFi (WWAN, WLAN) networks, VoIP installations and other rack-mount networking equipment. They are suitable in a centralized environment such as a distributed power protection architecture for targeted availability in a large data center or enterprise.

APC's Smart-UPS 750VA, 1,000VA and 1,500VA rack-mount models are currently available in. Estimated resale pricing of the new units are $419, $545 and $669, respectively.
