Alpha Electronics Corp. of America (Minneapolis, MN), a manufacturer of ultra-precision, metal foil resistors used in critical circuit applications, introduced a new 2 W current-sense resistor, the PWG Series (2715) package, which has a TCR of 0±25 ppm/°C; the low TCR is a result of Alpha's metal foil resistor technology. The PWG Series is available within a 1 to 100 milliohm range with 2 W rated power and wrap-around terminals. Typical applications are for current sensing in power supplies, motor controls and inverters.
