Advanced Power Conversion Adds New APC-B011 Series

Advanced Power Conversion plc (Farnborough, England) introduced its new APC-B011 Series of high-density dc/dc converters with power ratings of 20W, 15W and 10W, typical; full-load efficiencies of up to 86 percent; and a standard low-profile package size of 1in x 2in x 0.42in (50.8mm x 25.4mm x 10.6mm).

The APC-B011 Series comprises a wide range of modules of 5.0V output down to 1.5V, adjustable by 90 to 110 percent to provide a precisely regulated single dc output, and complements the higher-power dc/dc converters offered in the APC range. The APC-B011 Series features a choice of remote on/off logic, fixed frequency with possible synchronization, and full protection functions such as over-current and input under-voltage lockout. The metal-cased modules have an operating temperature range of -40 to +105 C, and are fully isolated to 1,500V, allowing versatile polarity configurations. An MTBF of 4.2Mhrs plus international safety approvals make the units suitable for board-level applications in telecom, industrial and other DPA applications.
