Advance-Galatrek Releases the GDC 50-6 PowerPak DC Rectifier

June 20, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Advance-Galatrek (UK) has released its new GDC 50-6 PowerPak dc rectifier. The new, modular, 19in, rack-mount power supply was designed to be used in conjunction with the company’s GDC 1006 system controller and shelf. It is suitable for Internet, mobile and telecommunications networks.

The GDC 50-6 is housed in a shelf that can hold up to six hot-swap plug-in rectifiers, either in a parallel, or n+1 or n+2 configuration. With an output-rated current of 6A, six GDC 50-6 modules will provide a maximum system amperage of 36A. Each rectifier employs active current sharing and incorporates an output diode. Units feature front-panel fine voltage-adjustment control.
