Absopulse Electronics Debuts TSI Series Inverters
Absopulse Electronics Ltd. (Carp, ON) released its new TSI Series of sine wave inverters as a low-cost, low-power alternative to its extensive range of CSI inverters. The TSI 30, TSI 60 and TSI 200 inverters provide precision-regulated sinusoidal power from 12Vdc, 24Vdc or 48Vdc sources. Electrically and mechanically rugged and rated for continuous duty at 30VA, 60VA or 200VA, the inverters are suitable for driving ac appliances in industrial, utility, telecom, mobile, mining and marine environments.
The solid-state inverters utilize microprocessor-controlled, high-frequency, pulse-width modulation technology to provide fully isolated sinusoidal outputs of 115Vac at 60Hz or 230Vac at 50Hz with less than three percent total harmonic distortion. Maximum combined line and load regulation is ±1.5 percent from 0 percent load to full load. The units are conduction/convection cooled and are rated for operation over a 0 to 50 degrees C temperature range, with -40 to +65 degrees C available as an option. They are input protected via a thermal fuse and output protection includes current limiting with short-circuit protection.
The TSI 30 and TSI 60 are available in plug-in formats for modular rack-mount applications. The TSI 30 measures 3U x 160in x 10HP and the TSI 60 measures 3U x 220in x 10HP. The TSI 30 stand-alone version is 4.4in x 7.8in x 2in, the TSI 60 is 4.4in x 10in x 2.25in and the TSI 200 is 14in x 5in x 2.5in.
The TSI 30 is priced at $138, the TSI 60 at $192 and the TSI 200 at $304 for quantities of one to four.
