2000W to 3000W DC-DCs for Harsh Environments

Technology Dynamics Inc. introduced the new NTDC Series of dc-dc converters for harsh environments. The company designed this rugged unit for industrial and military applications where high power, highly regulated dc is required. Power levels range from 2000W to 3000W.

Specifically, the company created the NTDC Series for harsh environment applications including MIL-STD-810. Applications for the converters include conformal coating of electronics, rack mount, MS connectors, parallel/redundant operation, meters, and circuit breakers. Available configurations include standard and modified, or they can be fully customized for industrial, commercial, and COTS, as well as ruggedized and military applications.

The converters offer full isolation and feature an input voltage ranges of 19Vdc to 72Vdc and 72Vdc to 144Vdc. They operate with a typical efficiency of 90% and have low noise and ripple.

The company ruggedized the converters for shock and vibrations. The fully protected devices offer remote on/off and feature an internal, high-reliability fan. Protections include over-voltage, over-temperature, and over-current.
