1W DC-DCs with 2:1 Input Range and -40 to +90°C Operating Temperature

TRACO POWER has announced the release of their TRN 1 family of isolated, high performance dc-dc converter modules that cover a wide range of low power applications where space is limited. The TRN 1 series feature wide 2:1 input ranges, a full load -40 to +90°C operating temperature range and are available in a compact SIP or SMD package (suffix SM).

The TRN 1 family consists of 64 standard models offering input ranges of 4.5- to 13.2-Vdc, 9- to 18-Vdc, 18- to 36-Vdc and 36- to 72-Vdc; and output voltages of 3.3-, 5-, 12-, 15-, 24-, ±5-, ±12-, and ±15-Vdc.

These 1W dc-dc converters feature tight regulation (0.2% Line / 1% Load max) with no minimum load required; 1,600Vdc I/O Isolation; efficiency ranging from 77 to 82%; full load operating temperature range of -40 to +90°C; short-circuit protection; and MTBF of 7,400,000h per MIL-HDBK-217F at 25°C.

Units are potted in a non-conductive plastic case and measure 0.47 x 0.30 x 0.43” (SIP) or 0.47 x 0.44 x 0.30 (SMD). Units are manufactured to IEC 60950-1 standards, qualified to MIL-STD-810F Thermal Shock & Vibration standards, are Reach / RoHS compliant and supported with a 3 year warranty.
