1kW to 4kW ‘Critical Mission’ DC Power from AC or DC Inputs
Behlman Electronics Inc. has completed the introduction of the DCR2U Critical Mission COTS power supply series. The DCR2U series is designed specifically for those who must have reliable dc power whenever and wherever it is needed for airborne, shipboard, ground, mobile and industrial applications.
Building on its many years of providing ever-improving, ultra-reliable power supplies to support essential military electronic systems in the air, at sea, and on land, Behlman created the DCR2U series of COTS power supplies to accept inputs of either 200- to 375-Vdc; or 115/200 Vac, 3-phase at 57 to 440 Hz (IAW MIL-STD-704 and DO-160). To make this a truly versatile power supply, custom inputs are also available upon request.
Output power of 1,000/2,000/3,000/4,000 Watts are available, with voltages from 3.3Vdc to 48Vdc, along with protective circuits, controls, and indicators, and wide-ranging operating and storage temperatures. The DCR2U is designed to meet MIL-STD-810F for Shock and Vibration, and MIL-STD-461E for EMI/EMC (RE102 inside external enclosure).
Behlman DCR2U Critical Mission COTS power supplies are designed to be mounted in 19†racks, and need only 2U (3.50â€) space. Weight is approximately 30 pounds.
Making the announcement from the company’s New York headquarters, where the DCR2U is designed and manufactured, Behlman president, Ron Storm, said, “For a decade, I watched the continuous improvement of the many power supplies we have provided for critical military missions. Mostly, they were upgrades to the same model. With the introduction of DCR2U in May, 2016, we made a quantum leap forward in power supply technology. Those who have evaluated the higher level of performance it provides, agree that this American-made series deserves to be called a ‘Critical Mission’ Power Supply.â€
