Compact 15W Single/Dual Output DC-DCs with Optional Heatsinks Integrate Filters

Traco Power announced the release of their THL 15WI family of 15W dc-dc converters for industrial, mobile, instrumentation, and communication markets or any application where size, cost, and quality are critical factors.

The THL 15WI series 15W dc-dc converters boast a combination of both reduced cost and high performance in an encapsulated 1in x 1in x 0.4in metal case with an integrated EN 55032 class A filter. The family consists of 14 models offering 9Vin to 36Vin or 18Vin to 75Vin ranges. They provide single/dual outputs from 5Vdc to 24Vdc.

The single/ dual outputs are 5Vdc, 12Vdc, 15Vdc, 24Vdc, and ±12Vdc, and ±15Vdc. The 24Vdc output models offer the highest efficiency in the family of 91%. All models have a full-load operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C (+90°C max temperature) and 1500Vdc I/O isolation.

Other features include remote on/off; VTrim (±10%); and precisely regulated outputs. Protections for the dc-dc converters include over-current, short circuit, and over-voltage. The converter also features an optional, clamp-on heatsink.

These features combined with UL 62368-1 safety qualification and an integral Class A filter make these suitable for use in a wide variety of applications.
