Mean Well has launched a new surface-mount single-output 1W unregulated dc-dc converter, the SBTN01 series. Compared to previous generation SBT01, the new SBTN01 series has wider operating temperature (-40 to 90 degrees C), higher I/O isolation (1.5KVdc), a wider selection of input voltages, and improved efficiency (up to 84%).
In addition, the terminal system PCB board does not need to be redesign since SBTN01 pin assignments follow the original SBT01 series. Suitable applications include IoT, electronics, telecom, networking, industrial control, and various distributed power architecture, and so on.
Features of the SBTN01 include: input voltage ranges of 4.5- to 5.5-Vdc, 10.8- to 13.2-Vdc, and 21.6- to 26.4-Vdc; standard output voltages of 5-, 12-, and 15-Vdc; operating temperature range of -40 to +90 degrees C with derating above 85 degrees C (and the high-temperature SBTN01-SC models have an operating temperature range of -40 to +105 degrees C with derating above 100 degrees C); short circuit protection for 0.5 seconds is standard while the SBTN01-SC models have continuous short circuit protection; dimensions are 12.9 x 10.9 x 7.1 mm; and these CE certified dc-dc converters carry a 3-year warranty.
