Vanner Inc. (Hilliard, OH) announced the acquisition of advanced battery monitoring systems and technologies from Opalport (UK).
The acquired technology and products include microprocessor-based battery monitors and analyzers designed for the needs of markets such as telecommunications, electric utilities, UPSs, standby generators and manufacturing. A key technology is the patented Virtual Cell battery analysis mathematical modeling for determining the performance of individual cells of battery systems. Graphical analysis software, VC4W, reports battery condition of Windows- or Unix-based computers linked to the battery monitors.
