Taiwan Liteon Inc. (Taiwan) has begun manufacturing dc/dc converters. Developed by an in-house research and development team formerly with Lucent Technologies (Murray Hill, NJ), the product uses VRM technology to supply 1V to 1.5V output.
Taiwan Liteon aims to reach about three percent of the global dc/dc voltage converter market by the end of next year. The devices are designed for use in telecommunications and data communications.
