SL Industries Appoints Jacob Cherian as Vice President, Corporate Controller

SL Industries (Mt. Laurel, NJ) has announced that Jacob Cherian Jr. has been named vice president, corporate controller. Cherian succeeds James E. Morris, who retired after 22 years with the company.

Cherian, 48 years old, joins SL Industries after serving since 1997 as corporate controller for Measure Specialties Inc. (Fairfield, NJ). He earned his BA from Calcutta University in 1972 and is a chartered accountant.

President and CEO Owen Farren, commented, “Jacob Cherian is a worthy successor who brings many years of directly relevant experience to his new senior-management position. We expect Jacob to make important contributions to SL Industries."
