Siemens Solar Industries LP (Camarillo, CA) and PowerLight Corp. (Berkeley, CA) announced the formation of a strategic alliance to manufacture PowerLight's PowerGuard solar photovoltaic roof tiles in Chatsworth, CA. Under the new agreement, Siemens Solar and PowerLight have established a specialized manufacturing line at a Siemens Solar module manufacturing facility in Chatsworth. This production line is capable of manufacturing up to 6MW (and can be expanded to 15MW to 20MW) of solar-electric roof tiles per year.
