Sensordynamics Acquired by Maxim

SensorDynamics announced that it was acquired by Maxim Integrated Products. Maxim is paying approximately $130 million plus the assumption of about $34 million in debt to acquire SensorDynamics.

In the near term, SensorDynamics states that this acquisition enables it focus on its engineering strength for MEMS and wireless semiconductor products, while making use of Maxim Integrated Products’ considerable manufacturing, distribution and sales infrastructure. This will quickly make the combined company a leading competitor in the inertial sensor, wireless connectivity and sensor interface markets.
