SEI Electronics Offers Redesigned Website

June 24, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

SEI Electronics Inc. (Raleigh, NC) has redesigned its website to facilitate easier search and ordering capabilities. The newly designed site incorporates a number of user-friendly features, including a powerful cross-reference system, quick access to product pages and the ability to simultaneously email multiple spec sheets from the website.

The most powerful new feature is the ability to search for product specifications using series, sizes, product types and other keywords. After completing a part search, the user can view a quick reference guide, view the full catalog specification, or email the catalog sheet as a PDF. Another powerful tool is the resistor cross-reference system that allows customers to contrast SEI products with those of competitors by description or partial part numbers. In addition, engineers can use the SEI website to place an interactive sample order, place orders, check backlogs, and conduct real time, multi-site, stock checks. New product announcements and a library of press releases contribute to the abundance of searchable content on the website.

Additional features that will be added by the end of 2003 include the ability to place orders from product reviews, request private notices and customer delivery status, improved stock checks, as well as placing sample orders directly from the product pages.
