Rockwell Automation Inc. (Milwaukee, WI) announced that it has acquired certain intellectual property associated with Power Automation GmbH's (Pleidelsheim, Germany) software-based CNC Technology for $5.0 million. The intellectual property will be used to provide CNC motion solutions focused on powertrain applications for the automotive industry, which will be delivered through Rockwell Automation's Global Manufacturing Solutions business.
