Richardson Electronics, Ltd. announced today a new global distribution agreement with Ohmite Manufacturing Company, a Chicago-based provider of resistive products for high-current, high-voltage and high-energy applications. The agreement supports Ohmite's efforts to expand sales and technical support of its high-performance resistor technology.

Ohmite has been the leading provider of resistive products for high-current, high-voltage and high-energy applications for over 90 years. The company's full complement of resistor construction includes wirewound, wire element, thick film, and ceramic composition.

“Ohmite offers a broad selection of power resistors, and their ongoing product development means that they continue to offer the leading edge resistor technology required in today's sophisticated applications,” said Greg Peloquin, Executive Vice President of Richardson Electronics’ Power & Microwave Technologies group. “With compatible focus markets, we are excited to support our new partner and bring their innovative technologies to our customers.”

“Richardson Electronics is a wonderful channel partner with a wide global presence, providing local technical support to help identify new opportunities that extend our business,” stated Greg Pace, President of Ohmite. “Their ability to provide solutions and add value from design-in support and prototype design through to high-volume production makes them an ideal partner for Ohmite’s expanding product line.”
