December 18, 2017 by Paul Shepard

RECOM Power GmbH announced their new distribution agreement with NEXTY Electronics Corporation for Japan effective immediately. NEXTY Electronics Corporation, formerly known as Tomen Electronics, is a new company created from the merging of two wholly owned subsidiaries, Tomen Electronics and Toyota Tsusho Electronics, of trading house Toyota Tsusho.

It offers various fitting products and services, such as semiconductors, and electronic devices and equipment in a range of fields including information, telecommunications, industrial equipment, amusements, automotive, and home electronics.

NEXTY Electronics will market and distribute RECOM Power’s entire product portfolio designed for distributed power architecture; the combination of a centralized switching power supply with many local “on board” converter modules that enables developers to come up with much more flexible and efficient designs for virtually any application in industrial controls, power generation, medical, aerospace, and transportation markets.

“We, at RECOM Japan, are really excited to be working closely with Nexty Electronics, the number one electronics component distributor in Japan. The wide power product offering of RECOM combined with the expert sales teams and knowledge of the Japan market from Nexty Electronics is the perfect combination to bring our revenue in Japan to the next level and make our leading power supply technology accessible to every Japanese customer.

“This partnership between RECOM and Nexty Electronics is a key milestone for our long-term strategy in Japan”, said Jordi Torrebadell, Representative Director of RECOM Power Japan K.K.

“RECOM Power GmbH possesses both advanced technological capabilities and highly-dependable products. With its track record in the industrial equipment and medical sectors in Europe, we are extremely pleased to be able to introduce its products to the Japanese market.

“This partnership will enable us to enter more deeply and broadly into our focus segments, including industrial equipment, medical, and ICT, as well as further strengthen our capabilities to meet customers’ requests as the largest electronics company in Japan.”, said Manabu Kawakami, Senior Executive Officer of Nexty Electronics Corporation.

NEXTY Electronics Corporation is an electronics company affiliated with Toyota Tsusho Corporation. It was established in April 2017 as Japan’s largest electronics company with the merger of Tomen Electronics Corporation and Toyota Tsusho Electronics Corporation, and mainly performs the sales of semiconductor and electronic components.

It also provides comprehensive coverage of the supply chain, both upstream and down, with technical design, software development, development support, module sales, logistics support, programming, taping, testing, quality support, failure analysis, and other services, thereby increasing customer value. NEXTY Electronics' goal is to work to create new value related to electronics in the automotive sector—where it has the world’s largest sales—and the ICT and industrial sectors.
